The book "Remote Sensing in Polar Regions. Antarctica. Part I" presents modern methods and approaches for remote investigation of the natural
environment in Antarctica. It provides examples and results based on radar and optical satellite imagery, combined with in situ observations and
measurements for data validation. The publication includes rich illustrative material – maps, graphics, tables, processed images, and photographs –
as well as an overview of international programs, initiatives, and satellite missions offering open access to polar data.
Developed within the project "Destination Earth Antarctica – Digital Data Space, Pilot Project", the book aims to promote the potential of remote sensing
methods among researchers, doctoral and postdoctoral students, as well as a wider audience interested in polar sciences, climate change, and environmental monitoring.
